Sled/TRX Series: #1 Sled Duck Walk

This is a fantastic hip dominant exercise that I picked up from Dr. Stuart McGill a couple years ago. Since there is a low load on the spine this would be a great option for clients and athletes that are intolerant to traditional squats and deadlifts. Regardless, I feel that we NEED to pull and push things in this manner far more than we currently do. One thing you should realize before programming this is that one must demonstrate adequate hip mobility and core stability to hold the correct position and then move in this position.

The key here is to think “spread the chest” and “push the butt out”. Yes, funny coaching cues and I promise you will feel a bit funny the first time you do this.
