TRX Warm Up
I know! You can’t believe it right?!?!?! I am actually blogging. After getting hell from several people at the Perform Better Summit in Providence this past weekend, I figured I should work a bit harder to schedule time to update this blog. All I have today is a great warm up that we do at Impact Performance Training with the TRX. Try it out. I think you’ll like it…..

Seems to me that changing the orientation on the OH squats would make more sense. Facing towards the connection point allows the athlete to put their feet further out in front of the hip which would create more of a quad dominant movement pattern, but facing away would force them to sit back further and create a more hip dominant pattern without falling over. Wouldn't really matter with some populations but bjj/mma athletes have such postural issues.. I'd have to try both to say for sure.. what do you think?
We prefer facing the direction that is in the video. You get great activation of the posterior chain, particularly in the back and shoulders. Facing away from the anchor point is actually very awkward.
Makes sense. Like I said I hadn't tried it. I figured you had selected the exercise the way you have for a reason.
thanks for the answer.
Congratulations on the black belt!
Thank you
